The Starjammers are a group of space pirates. They are allied to the Shi'ar Republic.

Not much is known about the Starjammer's past. At some point they came together under the leadership of the Earthling Corsair.
The Starjammers first encountered Superman and the X-Men when the Man of Steel and his friends had traveled to the Ku'Raon system following a distress signal from planet Argo. At the same time, D'Ken had also gone to the planet in the hopes of obtaining Kryptonian technology. The Starjammer followed in the hopes of capturing him, but were attacked by three Shi'ar cruisers and forced to flee. Fortunately for them, they ran into the Argo ship, and Superman used a Graviton Torpedo and Plasma Haze to disable the Shi'ar ships. In gratitude, they offered Superman help with their mission, culminating in the rescue of Superman's cousin Kara Zor-El and their robot assistant Kurox.
The Starjammers would come to Earth later in the prelude to the triple invasion from the Kree, Skrull and Shi'ar empires, and assisted Superman in the retrieval of one of the access codes for the Sentrius battlestation. Their trip led them to confront the Silver Surfer, and his master, the planet devourer Galactus himself. After the retrieval of Sentrius, they would later join in the final battle against the invaders on Earth.
